The WIZARD IR Infrared Vortex Mixer is a laboratory vortex mixer designed for the rapid and efficient mixing of biological or chemical samples. Thanks to VELP’s patented infrared technology, the device automatically detects the presence of a tube and begins agitation without the need for pressure on the mixing head. This hands-free activation improves ergonomics and reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries. The device features electronic speed control adjustable from 0 to 3000 rpm, allowing the vortex intensity to be adapted to the type of sample. It also offers two operating modes: automatic infrared sensor mode or continuous mode, making it suitable for both quick manipulations and prolonged mixing. Its zinc alloy base and three non-slip feet ensure excellent stability during operation, while its technopolymer casing provides high chemical resistance. Compact and robust, the WIZARD IR is compatible with numerous accessories, allowing for the mixing of various tube formats, microplates, or flasks. This vortex mixer is commonly used in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, and quality control laboratories to quickly homogenize solutions, resuspend pellets, or prepare samples for analysis.
