The Eppendorf Research Plus 12-channel multichannel pipette is a mechanical variable-volume pipette designed for liquid handling in multi-well plates (e.g., 96-well plates). It offers several volume ranges depending on the model: 0.5-10 µL, 10-100 µL, 30-300 µL, 120-1200 µL, etc. The volume adjustment knob is colored according to the range (e.g., gray for 0.5-10 µL, yellow for 10-100 µL, orange for 30-300 µL, green for 120-1200 µL). It incorporates a spring-loaded tip cone for consistent and secure tip attachment, reducing the force required for tip placement. Volume adjustment is via an easily readable four-digit dial, often with a magnifying glass effect. The SoftEject function reduces the force required to eject tips, reducing fatigue during repeated use. It is lightweight and well-balanced, based on Eppendorf's PhysioCare concept, to limit user fatigue. The channels are individual and removable, allowing you to use only some of them if necessary or to easily replace a channel. The pipette is fully autoclavable (or at least the lower part depending on the version), and withstands most chemical, thermal, and mechanical stresses encountered in the laboratory. It also allows rapid adjustment for difficult liquids or special conditions (altitude, temperature), with a return to factory settings without complete recalibration.
