Heidolph MR Hei-Standart Heated Magnetic Stirrer

The Heidolph MR Hei-Standard magnetic heated stirrer is a laboratory device that combines magnetic stirring with heating of solutions up to 300 °C on its Silumin heating plate with a Kera-Disk® ceramic coating, ensuring excellent heat distribution and good chemical and mechanical resistance. It is designed for the simultaneous mixing and heating of liquids in a wide range of applications in chemistry, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals, with a stirring capacity of up to 20 L of water. The stirring speed is adjustable from 100 to 1400 rpm with an accuracy of ±2%, allowing the mixing intensity to be adapted to the process requirements. The heating power is approximately 800 W, ensuring efficient heating times for many laboratory protocols. An independent safety circuit automatically shuts off the heating if the plate temperature exceeds the set value by 25 °C, limiting the risk of accidental overheating. The unit also features a residual heat warning, improving safety after heating is switched off. Temperature control is possible with an accuracy of ±5 K, sufficient for many standard laboratory heating tasks. The entire system is controlled by analog rotary knobs for simple and intuitive speed and temperature adjustment. Magnetic stirring operates via a rotating magnetic field that drives a stirring bar through the liquid, without direct mechanical contact with the medium. With a compact chassis (approximately 173 × 277 × 94 mm) and a weight of approximately 2.6–2.9 kg, it fits easily on a laboratory benchtop. The unit is suitable for a wide variety of mixing/heating applications: dissolution, chemical syntheses, solution preparation, or microbiological protocols requiring homogeneous heating.
