Its ergonomic design allows for simple and quick assembly, ensuring safe sample handling and reproducible migration. The system offers the flexibility to run one or two gels in parallel, which improves productivity and optimizes the use of laboratory resources. The tank is designed to support a maximum voltage of 600 VDC and a power of up to 400 watts, allowing for efficient and rapid electrophoresis. For most SDS-PAGE applications, a voltage of 200 volts is recommended, ensuring a migration time of approximately 50 to 55 minutes. The device is equipped with integrated safety features, including an interlocking lid that automatically cuts off the power when removed. This protects the user and ensures compliance with international electrical safety standards. The Criterion Cell is thus suitable for regular use in research environments where reliability and safety are essential.
