Thermo Scientific Heracell 240i CO2 Incubator

The Thermo Scientific HERAcell 240i incubator is a CO₂ incubator designed to meet the demanding needs of research laboratories and clinical applications. With a capacity of 240 liters, it offers ample space for cell cultures. It covers a temperature range from ambient +3 °C up to 55 °C, and features high humidification (≈ 95 % RH) to maintain the optimal environment for samples. It also allows CO₂ control from 0 to 20% and, optionally, O₂ adjustment from 1 to 21% or from 5 to 90% depending on the application. The ContraCon wet decontamination system reaches temperatures up to 90°C and eliminates bacteria, mycoplasma, and fungal spores without removing the sensor probes, greatly simplifying cleaning. The choice of chamber materials (stainless steel or antimicrobial solid copper) reduces the risk of cross-contamination thanks to copper's antibacterial properties. The integrated water tank, without a removable tray, speeds up recovery after the door is opened and minimizes handling. The iCAN interface (touchscreen) facilitates monitoring and parameter adjustments, as well as the display of gas or environmental alerts. It has external dimensions of 780 × 934 × 834 mm and a weight of 81 kg depending on the version.
