Thermo Scientific Heracell 240i CO2 Incubator

The Thermo Scientific HERAcell 240i incubator is a CO₂ incubator designed to meet the demanding needs of research laboratories and clinical applications. With a 240-liter capacity, it offers a generous working volume for cell cultures. It covers a temperature range from ambient +3 °C up to 55 °C and features high humidity (≈ 95% RH) to maintain an optimal environment for samples. It also allows CO₂ control from 0 to 20% and, optionally, O₂ adjustment from 1 to 21% or 5 to 90% depending on the applications. The "ContraCon" wet decontamination system heats up to 90 °C and eliminates bacteria, mycoplasmas, and fungal spores without having to remove the sensor probes, greatly simplifying cleaning. The choice of chamber materials (stainless steel or solid antimicrobial copper) helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination thanks to the antibacterial properties of copper. The integrated water reservoir without a removable tray speeds up recovery after opening the door and limits handling. The iCAN interface (touchscreen) facilitates the monitoring and adjustment of parameters, as well as the display of gas or environmental alerts. It has external dimensions of 780 × 934 × 834 mm and a weight of 81 kg depending on the version.
