Leica DMi1 microscope

The Leica DMi1 is a robust and ergonomic inverted microscope designed for routine work in cell culture, tissue observation, and biological analysis. Thanks to its economical 5 W LED illumination, it provides a constant color temperature, low heat emission, and a long lamp life, reducing maintenance costs. The optical system incorporates high-quality Leica objectives, allowing for typical magnifications for cell checks and phase contrast observations without the need to manually change contrast rings. An intelligent light intensity sensor automatically adjusts illumination between brightfield and phase contrast modes for greater comfort and speed when switching observation conditions. This microscope features several possible configurations: interchangeable condensers (e.g., S40 or S80 depending on the required workspace), a stage compatible with various culture vessels, a 4-position objective turret, and it can be used with or without an integrated camera. In versions equipped with a camera (e.g., Leica FlexaCam), it becomes a standalone image acquisition station with the ability to record directly to USB or network storage. Its mechanical design ensures stability, a low center of gravity, and comfortable use, even for long sessions, while remaining compact enough to be used in confined spaces such as a cell culture hood.
