Optika IM-3 LED Inverted Microscope

The Optika IM-3 is a high-end trinocular inverted microscope, specifically designed for observing cell cultures, living tissues, and samples in liquid media. Its 45° inclined trinocular head allows for comfortable observation and easy connection of a camera via the photo port. Equipped with an Infinity Corrected Optical System (IOS), the IM-3 uses anti-fungal treated long working distance (LWD) plan-achromatic objectives (not included): 10x/0.25 (working distance: 7.3 mm) 20x/0.40 (working distance: 6.86 mm) 40x/0.65 (working distance: 3 mm) These objectives provide excellent image quality and flatness over a 22 mm field of view, ideal for observing transparent specimens using phase contrast. The microscope features a pre-centered LWD condenser with a numerical aperture of 0.30 and a working distance of 72 mm. This condenser is removable, allowing the working distance to be increased up to 150 mm to accommodate large flasks or culture dishes. Illumination is provided by Optika's exclusive X-LED8 system, an 8 W white LED offering a constant color temperature of 6300 K. This system ensures homogeneous illumination without heat generation, with an estimated lifespan of 50,000 hours, thereby reducing maintenance costs. The 250 x 160 mm fixed stage is equipped with glass and metal inserts to accommodate various types of samples. An optional mechanical stage with X-Y movement (120 x 80 mm) and side extensions are available to increase the working surface. The coaxial focusing system, with coarse and fine adjustments (0.002 mm precision), integrates a safety stop to prevent contact between the objective and the sample. With compact dimensions (495 x 230 x 540 mm) and a weight of 9 kg, the Optika IM-3 fits easily into any laboratory environment. Its ergonomic design and optical performance make it a reliable tool for routine applications in cell biology and biomedical research.
