The Optika IM-3 is a high-end trinocular inverted microscope, specially designed for observations of cell cultures, living tissues and samples in liquid media. Its 45° inclined trinocular head allows for comfortable observation and easy connection of a camera via the photo port. Equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system (IOS), the IM-3 uses anti-fungal-coated long working distance (LWD) plan-achromatic objectives: 10x/0.25 (working distance: 7.3 mm) 20x/0.40 (working distance: 6.86 mm) 40x/0.65 (working distance: 3 mm) These objectives provide excellent image quality and flatness over a 22mm field of view, ideal for observing transparent specimens in phase contrast. The microscope features a pre-centered LWD condenser with a numerical aperture of 0.30 and a working distance of 72 mm. This condenser is removable, allowing the working distance to be increased to 150 mm to accommodate large flasks or culture dishes. Lighting is provided by Optika's exclusive X-LED8 system, an 8W white LED offering a constant color temperature of 6300K. This system guarantees homogeneous illumination, without heat generation, with an estimated lifespan of 50,000 hours, thus reducing maintenance costs. The fixed stage measuring 250 x 160 mm is equipped with glass and metal inserts to accommodate various types of samples. Optionally, a mechanical stage with XY movement (120 x 80 mm) and side extensions are available to increase the working surface. The coaxial focusing system, with macro and micrometric adjustments (precision of 0.002 mm), incorporates a safety stop to prevent contact between the objective and the sample. With its compact dimensions (495 x 230 x 540 mm) and a weight of 9 kg, the Optika IM-3 fits easily into any laboratory environment. Its ergonomic design and optical performance make it a reliable tool for routine applications in cell biology and biomedical research.
