Cosmetic condition
The PHCBI MDF-C2156VAN-PE is a chest freezer designed for the very long-term storage of sensitive biological samples (cells, tissues, strains, biobanks) at a stable temperature of -150 °C. Its refrigeration system is based on two cascaded PHCBI compressors, which continuously maintain -150 °C at an ambient temperature of up to +30 °C, without requiring a climate-controlled room. These next-generation compressors limit power consumption and remain quiet (51 dB(A)). The unit connects to a standard 220-230 V / 50 Hz single-phase power supply. Thanks to vacuum insulation panels (VIP), the usable volume reaches 231 liters (internal dimensions 760 x 495 x 615 mm), which is more than 25% additional capacity compared to conventional insulation, for an external footprint of 1730 x 765 x 1010 mm. Control is provided by a microprocessor with a graphic LCD screen displaying setpoint and actual temperatures, date, time, and control parameters. Sample safety is guaranteed by visual and audible temperature alarms, a dry contact for external alarm reporting, and a liquid nitrogen backup kit supplied with its hose (nitrogen tank not included). The assisted-opening lid can be locked with a key, and a 40 mm cable port allows for the installation of an external temperature monitoring probe. A temperature data logger is available as an option.
