Reconditioning and verification

Its refrigeration system maintains samples at temperatures as low as -10°C and as high as +40°C, ensuring excellent stability for biomolecules, cells, or sensitive samples. It accepts a nominal capacity of 4 x 400 mL (approximately 1.6 L) in the standard configuration, making it suitable for a wide range of routine applications. Its maximum speed is 15,200 rpm, resulting in a maximum centrifugal force of approximately 25,830 ×g. The brushless induction motor ensures quiet operation with low vibration and a long service life. The microprocessor control panel allows for adjustment of speed or RCF value, time, temperature, and acceleration and braking profiles, and stores the last used settings. In terms of safety and ergonomics, the unit is equipped with a lid with automatic locking, an incompatible rotor detection system, and imbalance protection. The Auto-Lock® III system or equivalent allows for rotor installation via a simple button, facilitating application changes. Compact dimensions and an optimized working height ensure comfortable benchtop use. In summary, the Megafuge 16R offers a combination of capacity, speed, thermal control, and ergonomics, making it ideally suited for laboratories performing blood processing, cell culture centrifugations, or various sample preparation steps.
