The IKA MTS 2/4 Digital Microtiter Shaker is an orbital shaker specifically designed for the homogeneous shaking of two or four microtiter plates. It operates with a 3 mm orbital motion, ensuring consistent shaking suitable for applications in biology, biochemistry, and microplate analysis. The unit features electronic speed control, adjustable from 0 to 1100 rpm, with a minimum speed of 50 rpm. It includes a digital timer (1 to 99 minutes) with a 7-segment LED display and an audible signal indicating the end of the programmed time. Two operating modes are available: continuous mode and timer mode. The MTS 2/4 accepts a maximum load of 1 kg (including the support) and is designed for 100% continuous operation. Compact, it measures 185 × 105 × 320 mm and weighs approximately 3.2 kg. It operates on a 220–240 V / 50–60 Hz power supply and is protected according to IP21 standards. The device is intended for use in a laboratory environment, within an ambient temperature range of 5 to 40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80%.
