The FS201 fiber inspection microscope produces a high-quality, low-distortion image of both the fiber end and the surrounding ferrule. Featuring a high-intensity illumination system and 200X magnification, this microscope is powerful enough to provide a clear image of the fiber core as well as the surrounding coating. The FS201 offers coaxial and oblique illumination settings. The coaxial setting provides symmetrical illumination for detailed inspection, while the oblique setting provides light at an offset angle to the fiber end for higher contrast. The FS201 must not be used to inspect a fiber connected to an active light source; light sources must be disconnected or switched off before inspection.
