The fluorescent dyes used in Qubit assays only emit signals when bound to specific target molecules, even at low concentrations, minimizing the effects of contaminants, including degraded DNA or RNA. The integrated design of the instrument and assays allows for quantitation that is far more sensitive than UV absorbance, making this system ideal for quantitation of precious samples (samples that are rare, difficult to purify, or expensive to obtain or prepare) or samples for sensitive applications (samples for downstream testing that are extremely sensitive to sample conditions).
