Designed by Scientific Industries, the GENIE is an analog shaker specifically designed for research, biology, and clinical laboratories requiring fast and efficient mixing of microplates. With proven vortex technology and a 1 mm orbit, it ensures consistent movement in each well, ensuring reproducible results, even with the most viscous samples or high-density plates like 384-well plates. The GENIE allows manual adjustment of the rotation speed between 750 and 3200 rpm (2700 rpm for 50 Hz models), which offers great flexibility depending on the type of sample and mixing protocols. Equipped with a timer ranging from 1 to 60 minutes or operating in continuous mode, it adapts to the specific needs of each experiment. With its compact dimensions (165 x 165 x 165 mm) and weight of 2.75 kg, the GENIE fits perfectly into any laboratory environment, even in confined spaces. It is designed to operate smoothly in cold rooms and incubators, making it ideal for experiments requiring specific temperatures. The GENIE accepts all types of standard SBS microplates and can also be used with PCR plates thanks to a dedicated accessory kit. Its robustness, ease of use, and high-level performance make it a must-have for any laboratory looking to optimize its microplate mixing processes.
The IKA T 25 digital ULTRA-TURRAX® is a powerful laboratory homogenizer, designed for dispersing, emulsifying and wet grinding applications on volumes ranging from 1 mL to 2 L. Thanks to its 800 W motor (500 W output) and electronic speed control, it achieves rotation speeds between 3000 and 25,000 rpm, allowing efficient processing of samples up to a viscosity of 5000 mPa s. The unit features a digital LED display, electronic overload protection, and error code diagnostics. Its quiet operation (75 dB without tools) and compact design (87 × 271 × 106 mm for 2.5 kg) facilitate benchtop integration. The stainless steel dispersing elements are easy to clean, and disposable plastic versions are available for sensitive applications. The T 25 is particularly suitable for research laboratories, the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, as well as for environmental analysis. It is designed for continuous operation (100% of the permitted time) in ambient conditions of 5 to 40 °C.
